but after a while, Junghyeok's gonna get another text. it's an image of a Han Suyeong curled up on a bed, facing away from the camera. she's still got her coat on, even, but her sphinxy ears are low and tail is curled at her legs.]
? Tell me? Something happen? You left me on read long enough I was legitimately concerned you were doing something stupid. Don't forget you still have people here?
[okay. well. actually, no. that makes sense. uhhhh--focus on the question at hand, yep.]
No idea. Some people managed to travel to the realm where people in Solitary are asleep, so we have confirmation they're safe for now. It might just be a matter of him getting control over The Nothing.
[moments when it's especially felt he's not the right Kim Dokja, but there is some relief in having the answer Yu Junghyeok would prefer in lieu of that.]
People in Solitary do not participate in the scenarios that occur here. They're asleep, presumably, because it's a form of stasis to keep their monsters from continuing to overwhelm them entirely. You can ask Jiang Yanli on Echidna or Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji on Phoenix for details about the realm they went to where they were resting. I'll look into getting more information where I can but for now everything's pointing to he's safe and not in danger currently.
Alright. Fine. A path forward on dealing with The Nothing wasn't revealing itself anyway. It's not an improvement over dealing with The Nothing, but if he's not in danger if we're attacked again, it's also not a ton worse. We'll have to learn about this realm too while also figuring out what to do about The Nothing and the Sphinx. We may have to go there and drag him out eventually. Wouldn't be the first time.
If it's research, there might be something in the Library. There are books from seemingly all world's there. But in order for me to use the Library efficiently without getting turned into a squid DON'T ASK, we'll need to get the books back there. Elliot Nightray's set up a private room we can store them in and I'll get keys so we know who goes in and who goes out unless you prefer people having access to them? There will probably be chances to investigate those other realms as time continues on here. So you need to be ready for any occasion like that. Stock up on healing items and the like. I'll be getting a weapon the next Box pull there is, since I can't access the store to get extra pulls. Let me know when you're available for tokens.
[Yu Junghyeok's way of saying "no way will anyone other than Kim Dokja read this all the way through". it'd be more endearing if it wasn't SO FUCKING RUDE?]
I'll keep defending that author's first work, thanks. Okay, so just back on the shelves, then.
Day 29, early??? (idk what time is)
Going to get a secure room at the library to put the books.
Han Suyeong's here at Echidna.
Don't go too crazy.

Re: Day 29, early??? (idk what time is)
He's asleep like the others in the Solitary Confinement book in the Library.
Re: Day 29, early??? (idk what time is)
[Then nothing comes for a good while.]
[Either he's taking his time checking it out for himself or he's doing End Up On TV As A Suspected Terrorist things again.]

Why the hell are you sending me this.
What did she tell you.

How do we get him out?

looks to Han Suyeong
looks to his phone

Day 29, early
You're absolutely certain he's in no danger.

A squid.

If others want to use the books, let them. More minds on this may be better. Just don't let anybody take them away or destroy them.

You're okay with people freely having access to that much of your story if we put it back?

Re: Day 29, early
That book is part of my life.
But I've lived an entire life separate from it.
It doesn't define me anymore.
If anybody reads it and learns about the man I used to be, it doesn't bother me.
From now on, I'm writing my own story.
[He's really not sure why he's sharing this.]
Re: Day 29, early
reading about it isn't the same.
it's a very complicated feeling, really.]
Yeah, okay.
I'll sort it out with the library tomorrow.
